FAQ

What is Coaching?

Many see coaching as a life changing experience that will vastly improve their outlook on work and life.  Coaching also helps people tap into their unknown potential by unlocking various hidden sources of creativity and productivity.  We see coaching as a partnership with our clients that is thought-provoking and creative, inspiring them to maximize their true potential in the personal and professional world.

Coaching is not consulting, counseling, mentoring, training or therapy. It’s a discovery-based process in which your are guided to developing a solution yourself and held accountable to implement it.  It is a future-focused process and does not address past pains and challenges.  Coaching will also not train you with a curriculum, it is customized for your individual needs.

A Professional Coach can help you strategize and acquire the tools you need to achieve your goals. Coaching is a step-by-step process that involves identifying and reframing your thoughts and attitudes. It can also help you break negative habits, acquire new skills, and take the action to achieve your maximum potential.

What happens in a Coaching Session?

Each session is tailored to you and will vary based on your needs. In the beginning, we will discuss your objectives and proceed to creating a plan to achieve them. Periodically, I will give you assignments to help direct your progress. We will work together to identify obstacles, explore alternate perspectives and celebrate successes. With the conclusion of each session, we will revisit your goals and identify the next steps in your journey to a more fulfilled life.

Do I really need a personal Coach? Can’t I just do it by myself?

Coaching can take you above and beyond your own personal limitations. More often than not, people try to achieve their greatest potential, but don’t even realize what stands in their way. A personal Coach can offer an unbiased and objective perspective, and can help you realize your patterns and habits. Most people discover that they are more efficient when working with a Professional Coach. Coaching can make your dreams attainable and will give you support and encouragement along the way.

How long do people generally work with a Coach?

To experience the effectiveness of a coaching program, I suggest clients make an initial three-month commitment. At the end of the three months, we will evaluate progress and discuss options for continued coaching.
